now offers travelers the ability to book trips to multiple destinations, such as an island-hopping vacation to Hawaii or a multi-country European adventure, and save money while they’re at it. Expedia®’s new multi-destination package feature is available for worldwide destinations and addresses the needs of travelers who want the flexibility to book flights, hotel, and car rentals in a single, convenient itinerary.

To book a multi-destination vacation, travelers simply click on the Vacation Packages tab on Expedia.com®, select the two-destination trip option, and then enter the city names, dates of travel, and the specific combination of trip components they are looking for – air, hotel and rental car. And as with all vacations on Expedia, travelers can choose to add destination services and activities, such as show tickets, tours, and ground transportation, to complete their trip.

“Expedia is making it easier for travelers to save money when they visit more than one destination on a single trip,” said Erik Blachford, president of Expedia, North America. “Our superior technology allows travelers to combine air tickets, hotel rooms, and destination services in a way that no other online travel site can.”

The new multi-destination feature is powered by Expedia’s award-winning technology platform, ESP (Expert Searching & Pricing), which delivers the most comprehensive trip-building options available online. ESP has enabled Expedia to offer several industry firsts including the freedom for travelers to dynamically build customized trips that combine flights, Expedia® Special Rate hotels and other lodging, ground transportation, and destination services and activities.

As the leading seller of lodging on the Internet, Expedia.com also recently announced the ability for travelers to reserve multiple hotel rooms in a single itinerary – an ideal solution for family vacations and group trips. In addition, with Expedia’s enhanced hotel content, travelers can view 360-degree virtual property tours and expanded photo displays.
